SAHMAIN Into the Darkness: Time for Rest and Regeneration

Our NOURISH workshop this month is going to be a full day workshop.

Samhain is a powerful festival marking the end of summer and the return of winter. This festival is the psychic return to the dark womb for regeneration and renewal.

This is when the veils between the worlds are thinnest and communication with our ancestors has been seen as possible. In our workshop, we will use this thin veil as a chance to communicate with ourselves, our inner wisdom, our darkest depths. The dark has been manipulated to mean dangerous but our ancestors knew this dark was as important as being in the light. To drop into the depths is to see ourselves, to see the cycle of life and death, to see our limits and then to return from this place renewed.

We all come from this darkest place as does all life. We gestated in the dark. The dark is the place we were nurtured, protected and at our safest. This is a place of safety to take on our inner journey; exploration, connection, finding our gifts, letting go of all that is no longer needed, and to leave the dark behind when no longer helpful. A place and time to plant our seeds of regeneration.

The moon this week will be in Taurus and this moon encourages us to really take some time to put ourselves first. Taurus has an energy to encourage change as without nurturing ourselves, there is no real grounded way for us to help to support others. This is an earth sign so encourages change in a grounded way.

Our day comprise of a unique blend of restorative yoga, moving meditation, sound immersion and deep rest. We will share a delicious, hearty meal together to really nourish ourselves and to take time.
